Multilingual Psychotherapy Centers is Hiring a School Counselor Near Brooklyn, NY
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LCSW, LMHC or Ph.D. candidate to join our team in providing contract IEP counseling mandates. We have openings in all 5 boroughs. Remote sessions may be provided on a case by case basis.
Duties:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students
- Assess student needs and develop personalized counseling plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student concerns
- Implement strategies to promote positive student behavior and conflict resolution
Requirements:
- New York LCSW, LMHC or Ph.D. in Psychology
- Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations preferred
- Familiarity with child protective services and childcare resources
- Ability to provide culturally sensitive counseling services to a diverse student population
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
